Master student of the BraIN & Phy team receives outstanding work award during an oral presentation at the II Workshop Internacional de Defesa Sanitária.
The work “Impacts of the insecticide Dimilim® on non-target aquatic insects and on fish” was developed by the students Hemerson Freitas, Sabrina Araújo, Maria Júlia Corrêa, Viviana Bohórquez and Luis Salinas in the Invertebrate Neurobiology and Physiology laboratory.
In view of the current pandemic scenario provided by Covid-19 and the need for social isolation, several face-to-face meetings that would provide this type of interaction ended up being rendered unfeasible. In this context, the II Workshop Internacional de Defesa Sanitária, which had the theme “Dispersion of Pests’ ’, was held in a totally remote way from the 18th to the 20th of September.
The event had the participation of national and international lectures and aimed to meet the demand for the dissemination of knowledge so necessary on this occasion, raising as a theme the discovery of new technologies and strategies to enable the best performance of agricultural crops.
