I was born in São Paulo, SP, and grew up in Guaraciaba, MG, I began my academic journey at the age of 14 at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia – CAMPUS Rio Pomba, studying agricultural technology. During this period, I worked as a scientific initiation scholarship holder, investigating microbiological indicators of soil quality in different production systems. I completed internships in IN VITRO plant propagation and in the common bean breeding program at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV).

After completing the technical course, I graduated in Agronomy from UFV, where I undertook internal internships in the areas of entomology and microbiology. I worked on the bioecology of the leafminer fly in the Integrated Pest Management laboratory and participated in monitoring the microbiological quality of soil in the recovery of Trindade Island, as well as prospecting soil microorganisms for biological control of plant diseases in the Microbiology Department.

During my undergraduate studies, I served as a monitor for the General Entomology Course and participated in extension activities, including the Interdisciplinary Experience Internship in the Zona da Mata Mineira. My thesis work involved modeling the ecological niche of desert locust population outbreaks.

After graduation, I entered the academic master’s program in Entomology at UFV, where I am currently researching the eco-physiology of thermal stress in insects, especially the soybean brown stink bug, differentiating between insects resistant and non-resistant to insecticides, as well as testing insecticidal molecules and compounds.
