Born in the state of São Paulo, in the city of Araçatuba, I moved to Mato Grosso do Sul at the age of seven, specifically to the city of Angélica. It was there that I had my first experience with rural life and living in the countryside. This initial contact was particularly intense because I lived on a farm where my father managed a sugarcane plantation and cattle rearing operation. Even as a child, I believe that’s where my interest in agricultural sciences was born.
Currently, I am an undergraduate student in Agronomy at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). I joined the university in 2023 with the goal of gaining knowledge in the agricultural field, from theory to hands-on experience, focusing on areas related to the management of crops, particularly major crops. I intend to delve deeper into topics such as phytosanitary practices, production physiology, water management, and soil fertility. Additionally, I have a natural inclination towards technological advancements, which I believe will be a key factor in my professional development, especially in the context of Agro 5.0.
Recently, I began working as an intern at the Laboratory of Physiology and Neurobiology of Invertebrates (BraIN&Phy), under the guidance of Professor Eugênio E. de Oliveira. I mainly assist the team responsible for the research line focused on the brown stink bug, Euschistus heros. I see this as a significant opportunity to gain firsthand experience with the life cycle and new control tools for this insect pest, which accounts for 60% of insecticide expenses in soybean cultivation.
Key Interests: Commodity crop management, Personal and professional development, and Challenges of current production systems.
