Biochemist and master in plant physiology at Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and PhD in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry at Escola Superior de Agricultura “Luiz de Queiroz” (ESALQ/USP). During my undergraduate and graduate studies I developed research on plant abiotic stressors (e.g., hydric stress and heavy metals), tomato Blossom-End Rot as well as research on the development of sugarcane.
I have an extensive background on the use of molecular biology, oxidative stress markers, evaluation of plant physiological state, plant tissue cultures and toxicological assays. During my post doc, I have been investigating plant-based compounds with insecticidal potential aiming to obtain environmentally friendly agrochemicals.
