I am originally from Grajaú, Maranhão. I have an academic background in Natural Sciences with a specialization in Chemistry from the Federal University of Maranhão – UFMA, Grajaú Campus, where I had the opportunity to actively participate in the research group in Natural Sciences and Biotechnology – CIENATEC at UFMA, Grajaú Campus. During my undergraduate studies, I also participated in the Research Initiation Program for Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI) as a voluntary participant, as well as the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarship (PIBID) and the Pedagogical Residency Program.
Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Biotechnology at the Federal University of Tocantins – UFT. I am also a member of the research group in Physiology and Neurobiology of Invertebrates, known as Brain&Phy, at the Federal University of Viçosa – UFV. My research involves the extraction of essential oils and the bioprospecting of the chemical compounds present in these materials, with a specific emphasis on their application in biological contexts.
Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a profound interest in organic chemistry and its practical applications in the field of biotechnology. I feel comfortable and enthusiastic about working in the laboratory, exploring the processes of extracting and analyzing chemical compounds present in plant materials. In addition to my passion for science, I highly value social interactions. I enjoy leisure time with my spouse and friends, whether it’s engaging in conversations, having fun together, or traveling to explore new places and cultures. These are some insights into my academic background, research experience, and personal interests. I am committed to making significant contributions to scientific and technological advancements, always seeking new knowledge and growth opportunities.
